Jerome Jennings passionately narrates and conducts concerts, and clinics and presents interactive performances and interactive lessons for students . Jerome has worked with young people across the United States and internationally from Baltimore Maryland, Ghana, Mexico, to Australia. He is proud to travel with and lead a group for dynamic and groundbreaking educational programs.
Jerome is a teen mentor, ensemble coach, and drum instructor for NJPAC (New Jersey Performing Arts Center). He is also a lecturer and teacher for Lincoln Centers Swing University programs. He works with The Laurissa Jane Music Studios and works as drum instructor and ensemble leader for Jazz House Kids; a community arts organization in New Jersey exclusively dedicated to educating children through Jazz: One of America's home-grown art forms.
Beginning fall 2017, Jerome has accepted the position as Resident Conductor of The Juilliard Jazz Orchestra.
Through his love of music and mentorship, Jerome is proud to have worked with, and encourage literally hundreds of kids, young and old adults around the world.
Jerome has always enjoyed theatre. Since moving out to the east coast he has been blessed to have appeared in several commercials/ television shows and the film Cadillac Records directed by Darnell Martin. Jerome befriended and studied acting privately with the late Barbara Poitier. Soon Jerome got the opportunity to act in 2013 along side Tony Award and AUDELCO award Winner Dee Dee Bridgewater in the off Broadway play Lady Day. Jerome is an NYC Actors Equity member.
